Action Needed on Gritting
Liberal Democrat Councillors are calling for an urgent review into the winter gritting undertaken by County Hall. Many residents have told us they have been almost housebound as roads and pavements on estate roads have not been gritted.
Conservative County Hall bosses have been criticised for cutting the winter maintenance budget over recent years which has meant that many areas have been left untreated.
Cllrs Stuart Bray and Keith Lynch are now calling on the County Council to carry out an urgent review and make sure more roads are gritted during wintry weather.
